Sea Shepherd Jolly Roger flag
This flag is the distinctive sign under which our ships sail in their campaigns to save life at sea. It makes those who destroy our planet by killing whales, seals, sharks, dolphins and sea turtles tremble with fear. "It takes a pirate to stop a pirate!" Henry Morgan and Sir Francis Drake demonstrated this several centuries ago.
The "Jolly Roger" logo shows our creative version of the pirate flag. It was designed by artist Geert Vons and shows what we stand for. The crossed shepherd's crook and Neptune's trident symbolize our watchfulness over the creatures in the oceans and our determination to fight for them so that they can live freely in the sea. The skull represents the death that humanity brings to the oceans. Yin and Yang - whale and dolphin - symbolize our goal to bring the sea back into balance, to preserve the grace of dolphins and the wisdom of whales.
